Redispersible emulsion powder is mainly used in: internal and external wall putty powder, tile binder, tile joint agent, dry powder interface agent, external wall insulation mortar, self-leveling mortar, repair mortar, decorative mortar, waterproof mortar external insulation dry mix mortar. The purpose of the mortar is to improve the weaknesses of traditional cement mortar such as brittleness and high elastic modulus, and to provide cement mortar with better flexibility and tensile bond strength to resist and delay the formation of cracks in cement mortar. Due to the interpenetrating network structure between polymer and mortar, a continuous polymer film is formed in the pores to strengthen the bond between aggregates. Some of the pores in the mortar are blocked, so the performance of the modified mortar after hardening is greatly improved than that of the cement mortar.
The role of redispersible emulsion powder in mortar:
1. Improve the compressive strength and folding strength of mortar.
2. The addition of latex powder improves the elongation of mortar, thus improving the impact toughness of mortar, and also gives mortar a good stress dispersion effect.
3. Improve the adhesion of mortar. The bonding mechanism depends on the adsorption and diffusion of macromolecules on the sticky surface, while the rubber powder has a certain permeability, and the cellulose ether together fully infiltrates the surface of the base material, so that the surface performance of the base and the new plaster is close, thereby improving the adsorption and greatly increasing its performance.
4. Reduce the elastic modulus of mortar, improve deformation capacity, reduce cracking phenomenon.
5. Improve the wear resistance of mortar. The improvement of wear resistance is mainly due to the presence of a certain amount of rubber bent on the surface of the mortar, the adhesive powder plays a bonding role, and the retinal structure formed by the adhesive powder can pass through the holes and cracks in the cement mortar. The adhesion between the base material and the cement hydration product is improved, and the wear resistance is improved.
6. Give the mortar excellent alkaline resistance.
